Like all of our custom hitches, this Curt class 1 hitch has a vehicle-specific design. As such, we go to great lengths to ensure that our hitches are well-protected for the road ahead. All Curt trailer hitches undergo our industry-leading co-cured finishing process. First, the hitches are mechanically and chemically descaled. This creates a smooth surface for the rest of the finishing process. Then, they are dipped in a liquid A-coat solution, completely immersing the hitch and covering it inside and out with a rust-resistant coating. Next, a black powder coat finish is applied over the top of the A-coat. Finally, the two coatings are co-cured together, forming a final finish that offers superior rust, chip and UV protection.
