What better place to start a business than sunny Long Beach, California? Like many aftermarket contemporaries of the time, Rancho began as a Jeep supply company, opening back in the 1950s. As the demand for more capable consumer vehicles increased, Rancho evolved into a complete off-road and suspension powerhouse. With the release of its aforementioned RS5000 shock absorber in the mid-1980s, Rancho became an industry leader and a name always at the top of any off-road suspension upgrade list.

After being purchased by ride-control, emission, and OEM giants Tenneco in 1990—makers of Monroe, Walker, Thrush, DynoMax, and Federal Mogul—Rancho continued to add to its portfolio andstill staysat the cutting edge of suspension to this day.
