Teraflex Advantage
While TeraFlex built its reputation on high-quality suspension components, today the company is so much more than just lift kits. On the trail, bumper protection is paramount and TeraFlex offers a full range of front and rear bumpers in any style or size. TeraFlex body protection and tire carriers are a popular choice among the off-roading elite for their unique design and millimeter-perfect fit. Additionally, TeraFlex offers tons of innovative interior accessories, recovery gear, racking, and small parts to ensure users dominate whatever obstacle lies ahead.
The TeraFlex roots can be traced all the way back to the 1950s. The company began as MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company) where it bought and sold military surplus goods, focusing quite a bit on Jeep equipment, parts, and repair. In 1987, Mark Falkner bought MEPCO from his retiring father aiming to position the company for the increasing consumer popularity of the Wrangler. Then in 1996, everything changed.
Along with the introduction of the TJ Wrangler came a new suspension setup featuring a front and rear coil suspension. This brought about the need for a new type of lift kit that would accommodate the new components. Falkner saw this demand and not only created the world’s first lift for the TJ, but launched the TeraFlex name and company along with it.
That wouldn’t be the last of the company’s firsts, as it isalso the first and only manufacturer to offer a low-range gearing solution for the 231 transfer case. Additionally, in 2001 TeraFlex launched the CRD60, a Dana 60 axle-based off-road specific high-pinion differential. These groundbreaking offerings still resonate throughout the hardcore Jeep faithful, and that’s why those who know, trust TeraFlex. Whether it’s a JL, JK, TJ, or vintage Wrangler, count on TeraFlex for unsurpassed innovation, performance, and dependability.
