We designed the DEF skid plate to protect the plastic DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) tank from the abuse of the road or trail. If your tank is punctured by rocks, sticks, or other debris, the fluid will leak out and the van will enter limp mode. The skid plate attaches to the bottom passenger side of our Nomad front bumper for 2014-18 Sprinter.
