Rated to tow up to 16,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 2,400 lbs. tongue weight, the CURT Xtra Duty Class 5 trailer hitch is engineered to withstand the rigors of towing the largest of non-commercial trailers, matching the strength and dependability of full-size pickup trucks, vans and SUVs. It can also be used with a weight distribution hitch to provide more stable towing and a weight distribution rating of 17,000 lbs. WD and 2,400 lbs. WDTW. This makes it the ideal choice for all varieties of heavy-duty trailers -- from full-size utility trailers and equipment haulers to horse trailers and yacht trailers.
Like all CURT hitches, this Class 5 GMC / Chevy hitch is stringently tested for safety and is proudly made in the USA. It features a fully-welded, high-strength carbon steel construction finished with a durable carbide powder coat finish that offers industry-leading rust, chip and UV protection. The CURT Xtra Duty Class 5 Trailer Hitch comes with a 2" square receiver tube opening, equipped with a steel collar for added strength.
