Killer Grid Heater Upgrade Kit is purpose-built to address a major flaw in the 6.7 Liter Cummins engine that can result in total engine destruction. The problem lies in the electrical connection to the intake grid heater. When powering the grid heater, 200 Ampere pass through a small bolt and nut inside the intake and, over time, is known to deteriorate and eventually arc and break off. This nut drops into the engine, leading to extensive damage to the piston, head, and valves. Several solutions are currently on the market addressing this issue, but they are costly upgrades. They drastically reduce the heat available to the engine and typically require tuning, or they don't work well in cold climates.
