Being an “HD” spring, this is not designed for unloaded use. This spring will function exactly as our standard full springs will when loaded. If running empty, these will lift more than stated and ride very rigid. It’s worth noting that the standard Carli tuning is not optimal for these springs. More of sprung weight and the additional spring rate are right on the cusp of requiring additional tuning (both compression and rebound) but you can get away without it.
