Icon Vehicle Dynamics 95003 Coil Over Shock Absorber

The front-end geometry of the vehicle was found to be fairly similar to the previous model truck, however there are a few key differences that required a redesign of the coilover to be compatible with the newer generation chassis. Seeing this as an opportunity, the team was able to design a 3.0 Series coilover that has more shaft travel while utilizing a barreled coil spring for more efficient packaging and provide 1-3 Inch of front lift height adjustment. The vehicle-specific valving featured in these shocks and the ICON-engineered coil spring work together to provide exceptional on-road ride quality with excellent off-road characteristics. ICON’s multi-stage hydraulic Bump Zone adds to the performance capability by providing an exponential increase in damping ability during the last 40 Percent of compression travel for superior bottom-out resistance. In the ride zone, these 3.0 Series coilovers see a 50 Percent increase in damping ability with the use of a significantly larger piston than what is found in the factory shocks. 10 Inch finned aluminum reservoirs provide a generous amount of shock oil while also providing an increase in surface area compared to standard reservoir cylinders for enhanced cooling and consistent damping under aggressive off-road use. ICON's exclusive Compression Damping Electronic Valves are included for actively dialing in your suspension performance and improve upon the functionality provided by the factory active shock system. Compression Damping Electronic Valve is an electronically controlled valve that meters the flow of oil to regulate the amount of damping force that is created by the shock when compressed. This infinitely variable valve can react in less than 40 Milliseconds and has the ability to make extremely precise adjustments for varying terrain. CDEV’s hydraulic circuits are also custom tailored per application to create the highest resolution and dynamic range allowable for each specific vehicle.
